WEDDING guest's dresses!! Looking fab for weddings...

My sister is getting married so... BIG WEDDING!! This is a first for me! But it seems like with many things in life, weddings fall into the category of "once you begin having them, you never stop!" So why not look at MANY options?

I have been "looking" for months for the right dress and shoes, the problem is that when you have your mind set into something very specific it is really hard to find anything that matches the idea you have built in your head. As a sister of the bride / or for bridesmaids, you want to look as good as you can, but without trying too hard... These are some looks that I absolutely adore;

Surfing on NET-A-PORTER:

This is a beautiful and elegant dress, great summery colour, good length just below the knee and beautiful detail around the waist. Yellow is always a strong colour, I would keep it low with the shoes. These Charlotte Olympia's are great matching the colour of the dress with the golden sole, yet the soft baby pink it's a neutral colour and keeps the outfit balanced... Absolutely love it! Very CHIC...

This, much more affordable Diane Von Furstenberg dress has a great colour! It's a FUN and young dress... Unlike the first one this one has less detail into the actual dress and it is more about showing off your legs and hopefully, an amazing tan accentuated by this fab lime green bright colour. With the right shoes, something very fun and lively, you can just look great - Without trying too hard.

Red red red... Red it's always a STATEMENT! Either short or long, although gowns in general are more elegant and visible than cocktail dresses. This is one dress to kill. You are not looking too sexy by showing skin, it is simply the colour of the dress that makes it so appealing. I like this one because it has a nice and different shape, nice draping around the waist... With the right amount of jewellery and tan, this dress is simply striking. The problem is, if it is a problem, that you do not wish to overshadow anyone in this beautiful gown!

Roland, my dearest Roland... This is probably my FAVOURITE dress of all... Why? Because only Roland create such a structured neck line that sits so beautifully on your chest. You do not need any extravagant jewellery with this dress or any flashy accessories... The dress itself it is so amazingly cut that all you need is a big smile on your face to rock the dress! On the downside... Can I wear any black for a wedding? That is always the question!

Another Roland. This dress it's of an ELEGANT FASHIONISTA... Simple and boring? Not really look at the asymmetric cut of the strapless top, the draping around the hips, the high thigh split... It is a definitely a fashionable dress, not one that anyone can pull off... But it is elegant as well. The simplicity in the colour and the appropriate knee length... Definitely a good option for a wedding!! And for the shoes... Yes why not, add a different colour! Let's not get stuck in boring simple black courts...

Red again... But this time, darker and shorter... Results : SEXY. If you don't want to look too sexy make sure the dress fits you properly, ie. don't let it be too tight or it will be just too explosive! I've chosen Navy rather than Black because I think Navy it's perhaps softer/ more subtle than Black with Red. I personally love this look but, having said that, I think it is more limiting than the others in the sense that, this dress would not work on everyone. If you are curvy it can look too revealing, whereas if you are skinny it can still look feminine and elegant.

Et Voila!! Very chic, very elegant, very PRINCESS like. Without being too meringue like, too puffy and cheesy, this dress it's super cute and sophisticated. I suggest to wear this with super high stilettos to pump it up a little, to make it more fun. This is a pretty dress, nothing better than pretty mixed up with a bit of young and colour!!

So many different looks, and so far only one wedding, and a very limited budget to afford most of these! But hey, one can dream and appreciate the beauty of designer dresses and shoes... Having said that, if there is a good excuse to spend lot's of money on one dress... Is that not a wedding?
